I recently stayed at a lovely bed and breakfast in Kaikoura called Kakatu Retreat. I was there for a few days to relax and explore the area. The views from the property are absolutely amazing, and my room was spacious and comfortable. The bed was incredibly big and comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep. One thing that stood out was the warm and welcoming service from Mary, who went out of her way to make sure my stay was enjoyable, especially after my long and difficult drive in the dark. The owners of the property were also very friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for places to eat and see seals. Additionally, the breakfast options were delicious and the kitchen facilities were excellent. it was a pleasant and cozy stay at Kakatu Retreat.

The owner was welcoming and explained everything upon arrival. The location, with the mountains as a backdrop, added to the lovely setting. The well-appointed facilities and comfortable beds made for a restful stay. The availability of laundry facilities was a convenient bonus. one of the best properties I stayed in during my trip. Highly recommended.
